The State of Decay

The human condition is a tragedy, a never-ending cycle of pain and suffering. We are cursed with the knowledge of our own mortality, haunted by the spectre of death that looms over us all. We strive for greatness, but our ambitions often lead us astray, causing us to Dive for the inevitable fall.

The Gods of the Mythology era, once seen as the embodiment of our ideals, have become empty symbols of our failure to achieve those ideals. like Apollo, mankind has developed a god-like persona. with its knowledge, its bow string, symbol of militancy, has been stretched more than ever. Yet instead of reaching a prosperous and peaceful present from its past, we find ourselves in a present marred by conflict and decay.

The failed hopes of the late medieval age and the Renaissance era cast a somber shadow upon our collective consciousness. The humanistic aspirations that once burned brightly in the hearts of Renaissance thinkers now lie shattered, their promises revealed as mere illusions. We sought to soar with the wings of knowledge, yet our flight ended in a tragic descent. Like Icarus, our ambitions propelled us too close to the sun, and we were consumed by the flames of hubris.

A 2-year-old migrant child drowned when their boat was on its way to the seashore as they were fleeing their country, which was being run by terrorists. a Country that was Torn by Disaster in the name of Peace Making. we see the News and We Just Share the Video on our stories to feel the relief as if we have done something if we didn’t swipe to the next video, and then we just enjoy every sip of our caramel macchiato while moving on to videos of cats making dumb moves. Our world is plagued by war, famine, Death and Conquest, as if the four horsemen of the apocalypse have stepped on the earth. ignorance, injustice and Immorality are everywhere. The rich get richer while the poor suffer, and those in power use their positions to oppress and exploit the weak. We are all victims of a system that values profit over people, that treats human lives as disposable commodities.

Pretty much everything that has been ever created by us, from the Idealism of Myths to Religion to every Political System and to any form of philosophy have all failed us, leaving us with nothing but empty promises and false hope. They are nothing but tools of the powerful, used to keep us under control and to maintain the status quo. The pursuit of progress and modernity have only served to further erode our sense of morality and purpose, leading us down a path of destruction and despair.

Our world, in the suffocating depths of complexity, flounders and gasps for respite as post-modernism and its relativism serve only to further erode our sense of morality and purpose. The pernicious naivety of modernity intertwines with the relentless nihilism of postmodernism, their venomous tendrils exacerbating the very quandaries that plague us. This rejection of objective morality leaves us vulnerable to the whims of those in power, who can use their authority to impose their own moral values on others, leading to oppression and injustice.

We find ourselves ensnared in a crisis where national sovereignty, once a cornerstone of modern civilization, is now used to justify immoral actions by countries ruled by terrorists or other authoritarian powers. Human rights organizations, supposedly the protectors of the most vulnerable, have failed miserably, emerging as nothing more than toothless tigers limited to condemning immoral acts and expressing concern while people die and suffer. Amidst this pandemonium, we yearn for a grander vision, a vantage point that transcends the feeble confines of our current sight. We stand at the precipice of a meta-crisis—an amalgamation of crises converging upon us with inexorable force. This yearning echoes within us, a plea for the rekindling of a grand narrative, a tale that shall breathe life into the dormant ember of hope.

Through my Sculptures, I try to sound the Alarm and to raise the concern of our current situation as Human beings. as I believe morality couldn’t evolve as fast as the other aspects of our civilization, and that we are still looking for a right universal moral code to save the humans. the flame of hope is losing its power and If we don’t do anything this will be the beginning of the fall of humanity, as we are pinned down by whatever that is wrong with us.
